About East Hill Wind Farm
The hills to the east of Cherry Valley in northern Otsego County are widely known as one of the windiest locations in New York State and have a wind resource that rivals some of the best wind areas in the United States.

In addition, the combination of superb access to the hills, transmission access that crosses the project area, and strong local support, the East Hill Wind Farm represents a big step toward meeting our energy needs in a sustainable way.

24 turbines at the site could produce up to 70 MW of power and supply over one and one half times the 23,291 homes in Otsego County, and provide the equivalent of displacing over 133,000 lbs of coal per year. Further, the project will help New York State make a significant step towards its goal of increasing power generated from renewable energy sources from 19% to 25%.

The developer behind the Wind Farm: Reunion Power LLC, www.reunionpower.com, with offices located in Vermont and New Jersey, specializes in the planning, development, and management of wind energy projects and provides professional services for owners and financiers of power projects. Reunion currently manages and has an ownership position in over 180 MW of operating wind farms in the Midwest and the company's principals have developed over 400 MW of environmentally efficient power generating facilities throughout upstate New York.
